The Appellant Ahsan Akhtar approached Cantonment Board Walton – Lahore for provision of Gazette Notification NO SRO 236(1)83 Dated 05/3/1983 under the Right of Access to Information Act 2017.
The respondent did not respond to the information request of the appellant, then the citizen filed appeal against the public body before this commission.
After the intervention of this commission, the public body shared the requested documents with the appellant. However, in response to the information shared with him, the appellant submitted a rejoinder to this commission and requested some additional information which was not part of his original information request.
This commission decided that The appeal is disposed of to the extent of requested information as the Respondent has provided the requested information to the Appellant whereas the request for additional information by the Appellant cannot be processed as part of this appeal as it is not part of the original request for information.
