The appellant requested information about his record available with the Employees Old Age Benefit Institute and also requested copies of the relevant rules required to become eligible for EOBI pension after attaining the age of 60 years.
Initially the respondent advised the appellant to visit nearest regional office to collect the requested information however, after the directions of the Pakistan Information Commission, the respondent shared information with the appellant.
The appellant submitted rejoinder and raise objection that the information provided is incomplete.
Pakistan Information Commission directed the public body to provide the remaining information within 10 working days.
Moreover, the public body is also directed to take immediate steps to proactively share through the web site all categories of information mentioned in Section 5 of the Right of Access to Information Act 2017 and submit the compliance report to the commission by September 27, 2021.
