The representative of the respondent appeared before the commission and submitted that if an order is passed regarding the provision of the information public body would have no objection in providing the information.
However, it is submitted that volume of the record is huge and it is not possible for respondent to submit that record before the commission; the said contention is not tenable as mere volume of record is not a valid ground to absolve the respondent from providing it to the appellant when it is public record. In view of above the appeal is allowed, the respondent is directed to provide the requested all information to the appellant, within 10 days of the receipt of this order, subject to deposit of fee by the appellant as per law. In case of non-compliance of order, the appellant may approach this commission.
