The appellant Major (r) Farooq ul Hassan requested the Military Accounts General to provide information / record of different funds paid to him and pending to be paid to him.
The appellant approached Pakistan Information Commission, when he did not receive any response from the public body. The Respondent in response to a notice of the commission stated that the requested information does not pertain to them.
This commission directed the Controller, Military Accounts (Officer), Ministry of Defence to provide in writing that the requested information does not pertain to them, in case they don not have any such record.
Moreover, The Adjutant General, AG Branch, Pay, Pension and Accounts Directorate of Ministry of Defence is directed to provide the requested information to the Appellant within 10 working days.
