Although the Respondent has admitted that the contract is not traceable, this commission believes that the Respondent was obligated to seek consent of the third party whether or not the requested information can be provided to the Appellant as required under the Act, 2017 had the contract been available with the Respondent.
This commission accepts the stance of the Respondent that contract for supply of Gas for domestic use signed between the Appellant and SNGPL was based on the standard format of the contract and meter was installed based on implied affirmation as He deposited security and service line charges for obtaining gas connection. Furthermore, the Respondent has stated that it is willing to install subsidized pipeline gas connection at his doorstep if the consumer resents and denies to accept standard terms and conditions of the agreement.
