This Commission held that the Pakistan Nursing Council established in 1948 is regulatory body constituted under the Pakistan Nursing Council Act (1952, 1973) and is empowered to register (license) Nurses, Midwives, Lady Health Visitors and Nursing Auxiliaries to practice in Pakistan thus is enlisted as public body within the meanings of the Act.
The Public Information Officer/ Deputy Registrar, Pakistan Nursing Council, Islamabad is directed to furnish the appellant all the requested information, forthwith, but in any case not later than seven days of the receipt of this order.
