The Appellant has sought from the Respondent, IIUI information about vacant posts position of Additional Directors (BPS-19) before the date of Departmental Promotion Committee meeting held on 06.11.2020 and current vacant posts position of Additional Director (BPS-19).
It would be stating the obvious that the requested information does not attract any of the exemption clauses mentioned in the Right of Access to Information Act, 2017, henceforth referred to as the Act, 2017 and neither did the Respondent, IIU took such a stance before the commission in the hearing.
This commission notes with concern that the Rector, IIUI is dragging its feet in providing the requested information to the Appellant and creating hurdles in the implementation of the Act 2017.
