The appellant Mr. Sharafat Ali Zia, in the instant appeal had requested the National Accountability Bureau to provide him update on the inquiry relating to the case of hospital plot located in M.V Chak Shahzad Town (Shahzad Town).
The public body has refused to provide him the requested information and claimed that it is exempted from disclosure under the Right of Access to Information Act, 2017.
This Commission allowed the appeal and directed the Director (Media) / Public Information Officer, National Accountability Bureau is directed to provide the information requested in Para-2 with intimation to this office, at the earliest, but in any case, not later than 10 working days of the receipt of this Order.
