The Appellant on September 29, 2021 filed an appeal stating that:
“I requested Inspector General, National Highways and Motorways Police dated February 23, 2021 to provide certified copy of the inquiry report (along with all annexures) conducted in pursuance of the letter vide No NHMP-39(5)/19/HRM/O.R/JPO/2439 dated December 07, 2020 of Office of the Inspector General of Police, National Highways and Motorways Police. Despite the passage of more than even month, the public body has not provided me the requested information to date.”
The department in response to a notice of this Commission replied that the inquiry report is finalised but can’t be shared with the appellant because she had also filed a complaint in Wafaqi Mohtasib, and the matter is still pending decision at Wafaqi Mohtasib.
This Commission allowed the appeal and directed Inspector General of Police, National Highway and Motorway Police to provide the requested information to the appellant with intimation to this office, at the earliest, but in any case, not later than 10 working days of the receipt of this Order.
