The appellant has asked for the copy of the question paper and answer key of the LAW-GAT examinations conducted on 24th July, 2022.
Higher Education Commission submitted response which states that any testing agency local or international, does not share question papers developed based on a standardized question bank. According to Section 16 (i) (iv) of “The Right of Access to Information Act, 2017”,
“information may be exempt if its disclosure is likely to undermine the effectiveness of a testing or auditing procedure use by a public body”.
As a result of the facts and circumstances, the requisite data cannot be provided access.
Director General (Publications)/ Public Information Officer, Higher Education Commission is directed to provide complete requested information to the Appellant, at the earliest but not later than 7 working days of the receipt of this Order, with intimation to this office.
