In the instant appeal, the appellant requested information about the names of localities falling within the urban/municipal limits of Islamabad; and the names of localities falling outside the urban / Municipal limits of Islamabad (ICT).
The appellant approached Pakistan Information Commission, when he did not receive the requested information within stipulated time period.
PIC has ordered the Public Information Officer of Capital Development Authority to provide the requested information within 10 working days.
The respondent is also directed to to take immediate steps to proactively share through the web site all categories of information mentioned in Section 5 of the Right of Access to Information Act 2017 and submit the compliance report to the commission by August 27, 2021.
