#1. Pakistan Information Commission can impose penalty of Rs. 250 per day to a public official for unlawfully delaying or denying access to information to a citizen.
#2. A public body is bound to provide the requested information within 3 working days if it pertains to life or liberty of an individual.
#3. Applicant has to state the purpose for requesting information under the Right of Access to Information Act 2017.
#4. The Right of Access to Information Act 2017 is applicable only to federal public bodies.
#5. There is no fee for first twenty pages of information under the Right of Access to Information Act 2017
#6. It is binding on the public body to take necessary steps to assist a person with disability in the process of obtaining information.
#7. Pakistan Information Commission is legally bound to decide an appeal within thirty days.
#8. Under the Right of Access to Information Act 2017, information has to be provided to the requester within 10 working days.
#9. There is no fee for filing information request under the Right of Access to Information Act 2017.
