The Respondent is directed to share with the Appellant, with intimation to this office, the requested information about the action taken by police to resolve his complaint within 7 working days of the receipt of this Order.
This commission is of the view that in the instant appeal, the requested information pertains to action taken by the police on his duly registered complaint with the police which can be shared with the Appellant without compromising any investigation. In fact, the disclosure of the requested information with the citizen will help build trust between citizens and the police.
