The appellant in the instant appeal requested the Managing Director, Pakistan Software Export Board on October 14, 2021 under the Right of Access to Information Act 2017 to provide him Complete minutes of 44th and 45th PSEB’s Board of Directors meeting held on 17th September 2020.
He also requested findings of inquiry conducted against the undersigned and placed in the 44th PSEB’s Board of Directors meeting held on 17th September 2020.
Pakistan Information Commission allowed the Appeal and directed Managing Director, Pakistan Software Export Board to provide complete requested information to the Appellant, at the earliest but not later than 7 working days of the receipt of this Order.
The Respondent is also directed to take immediate steps to proactively share through the web site all categories of information mentioned in Section 5 of the Right of Access to Information Act 2017 and submit the compliance report to the commission in the Template for the Compliance Report-Proactive Disclosure of Information under Section 5 of the Right of Access to Information Act 2017’. This template is available under ‘Information Desk’ category at the web site of the commission www.rti.gov.pk. The compliance report be submitted to this commission within 30 days of the receipt of this Order.
The public body is also directed to designate Public Information Officer as required under Section 9 of the Act and upload its notification along with the name, designation and contact details on its website as required under Section 5 (1) (b) and (h) of the Act and submit compliance report to the commission within 10 working days of the receipt of this order.
