The Appellant sought information about competitions organized by the Ministry, each year, amount allocated for said purposes, prescribed criteria to participate in each competition.
The commission held that the designated officer is responsible for willful and deliberate obstruction thereby causing delay in the disclosure of information liable to imposition of fine. The Secretary, Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony was directed to take measures to deduct the salary of five days of the Public Information Officer.
